Downey & Scott provided value engineering services for the renovation and expansion to the Fire & Rescue Training Academy located in Fairfax, Virginia.  

Our study came up with approximately 56 value engineering alternatives and design suggestions that assisted the academy in achieving their training vision, reducing budget concerns, increase quality and helping to achieve LEED Silver status.

There was approximately $600,000 identified in possible savings.  The study and design achieved the twin goals of delivering a highly specialized training facility with quality and economy.
