Downey & Scott provided cost estimating and value engineering services for this 90,000 GSF consolidation facility, which included a police station, board of supervisors’ office, museum, secure parking, library, active adult center, public parking, office space, public/support space, and photovoltaic solar panels at the secure garage, along with all associated sitework. Through the Design, project costs were estimated at $60 million.
This newly completed, 90,000-square-foot facility features structured parking and convenient access. It houses the Franconia police station in approximately 28,000 square feet, the Lee District supervisor’s office in 4,200 square feet, and the Franconia Museum off the lobby for enhanced visibility. The active adult center was expanded to 7,200 square feet, and a new childcare center was introduced, occupying approximately 10,000 square feet.
